When it comes to Facebook & YouTube, think about where you are in your video hierarchy, ensure you have value proposition or ‘Why Us’ videos in place before you try the fancy stuff.

Buzz 2 – New Aspect Rations for Facebook Video Ads

You can now run Facebook videos ads in 3 different ratios:

  1. 16×9 widescreen, turn sideways for full screen
  2. 1×1, square video
  3. 2×3 vertical video (new)

Mobile video orientations thanks to the success of Snapchat and video streaming services like periscope. Of Facebook’s 1.13Bn active users, over 91% of them are mobile.

Adweek shared a test where  the new 2×3 portrait orientation  resulted in 3x better CPMs, engagement and view throughs.

According to research by eMarketer, video ads between 30 and 60 seconds actually fared better than videos less than 30 seconds on Facebook:
